After completing her degree in Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Sydney in 2008 Joelle began working as an Exercise Physiologist for the University of New South Wales where she spent a number of years treating individuals with a wide array of health conditions. Her particular focus was on senior's health - Joelle loves helping senior's to build the strength and fitness they need for ageing well. She provides targeted programs to help meet senior's fitness needs. Her senior's exercise programs help to build and maintain bone density, muscle strength, balance and metabolic function to improve every day life and health measures - helping seniors to age well.
Her passion is creating a comfortable environment where people of all ages can come together to exercise so they can attain the strength and vitality they need to live their life the way they want to and keep doing the things that they enjoy the most!

Classes have a maximum of 6 participants and run for 60 minutes. A typical class will begin with a light warm up followed by a circuit of strength, aerobic, balance, core exercises and stretches that will be demonstrated and explained. Small group sizes mean that every participant will receive individual attention to ensure they are doing exercises correctly.
Our senior's exercise classes are designed to help you build muscle strength that will help you get the most out of your every day life. Our targeted program will focus on building and maintaining bone density in the areas that we lose bone mass as we age, helping you to reduce your fracture risk in the future. Along with increasing bone mass, our classes will help you to improve your balance and stability, therefore reducing your risk of falling and giving you added confidence to enjoy the activities you love. Strength training can also help you to improve your blood glucose and cholesterol levels, leading to improved health and wellness.
Yes! in fact, it's a great way for you to learn about exercise and fitness, as you'll have an exercise professional assisting you right from the start.
That's absolutely fine! You can start with one-on-one sessions that will help you to get comfortable with the exercises and class format. If you would like to join the classes after that you are welcome to, or if you prefer to carry on with one-on-one sessions that option is available to you too.
Exercise Physiologists are trained to work with your health conditions. We will communicate with your doctor and other members of your allied health team to assist you to manage your health conditions and treat them effectively.
No! Our exercise studio is a comfortable and relaxed space with a maximum of 6 people per class, quite unlike a gym environment. Classes can be purchased as you go, or receive a discount if you book classes in packs of 6 or 12. We are not a gym, there are no lock in contracts!
You can get in touch with us via telephone, email or text message. We will send you a brief intake form and talk to any doctors or treating health professionals if necessary. Then you can get right into our classes or start with a few one-on-one sessions to get you comfortable first.
